Sprinkled throughout Amador County, but most densely at the northern end in the Shenandoah Valley, are dozens of family owned wineries and vineyards. More than two dozen dot the winding roads of this prolific and fertile valley, producing award winning wines for more than two decades. A handful of others are nestled in and around Sutter Creek, Ione and Drytown.

With thousands of acres of Zinfandel, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and other varietals, the valley today offers unique tasting rooms and outdoor event venues, bed and breakfast inns, and relaxing environments for locals and tourists alike to enjoy all year long.
