What We Offer

For Our Business Community

Your Amador County Chamber of Commerce offers a way for businesses and organizations to come together for the betterment of all the communities that encompass our county.  It harnesses the tremendous potential of the private enterprise system and enables its membership to accomplish collectively what no one could do individually.

Our Visitors Bureau

In attracting tourists to our area, the Amador County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is a major contributor to the tourism revenue to our county. The result is a healthier local economy for all of us to enjoy. According to Dean Runyan & Associates, the tourism industry generated almost $113 million in Amador County in 2007, and the transient occupancy tax receipts for 2008 were $650,000. This makes tourism a leading industry in Amador County. Membership in the Amador County Chamber provides you with the programs and services you need to reach this significant consumer market.

Membership

Membership is open to all businesses and individuals that maintain a voluntary annual dues investment. Benefits of Membership include networking opportunities, community involvement, image enhancement, information access, numerous discounts and benefits and heightened credibility.

The Membership Investment Schedule exhibits the various membership categories. Where applicable, the number of full-time employees establishes your annual investment.

Activities that the annual investment help support include:

Responding to the more than 15,000 requests for relocation and visitor information which come into the office each year.

  • Promoting tourism and marketing in Amador County and it s businesses both in and outside the area.
  • Publishing a monthly newsletter
  • Sponsorship business workshops
  • Providing monthly mixers for business networking

We are an organization of volunteers who believe Amador County is a very special place to work as well as live.

The Chamber is a private organization funded primarily by dues and sponsorships paid by member businesses. It is not a government agency and receives no tax dollars.
