AMADOR COUNTY MUSEUM
Open Tuesday 10-4, Wednesday through Sunday. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Admission by donation. Tours of Kennedy Mine scale model, Saturday & Sunday from 11-3 on the hour, $1, under 8 years old free. Large tour groups by reservation. 225 Church St., Jackson. 209-223-6386.

AMADOR WHITNEY MUSEUM
Open Sat. & Sun. 12-4. Changing exhibit bi-annually. Women and their contribution to the Mother Lode. Admission by donation. Main Street, Amador City.

CHEW KEE STORE
On Fiddletown Road in Fiddletown. Chinese rammed earth building established as herb shop during the Gold Rush. The only remnant of the once-thriving Fiddletown Chinese Community. MONTEVERDE GENERAL STORE

SHENANDOAH VALLEY MUSEUM, AT SOBON ESTATE WINERY
14430 Shenandoah Road, Plymouth. Artifacts include full-scale horse drawn wagons, farm implements, winemaking tools, furniture and antiques from days gone by in the Mother Lode. Open 10-5 daily. 209-245-6554.
