By News release

Congressman Dan LungrenCongressman Dan Lungren will pay a visit to American Legion Post 108 on Veterans Day for a reception and to recognize the post's 90th year of operation, and its 80th year of providing ambulance service to foothill communities.

The post began offering ambulance servicer in 1929 and has maintained it - along with many upgrades over the years - ever since. Four years ago, the American Legion Ambulance Service won a bid to include Calaveras County to its service area, nearly doubling the area it covers.

Veterans and their families are welcome. Attendees are asked to donate a non-perishable food item for the food bank.
