Golden Nugget AwardsThe Amador County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Golden Nugget recipient.  The 7th Annual Margaret Dalton Golden Nugget Awards dinner will be held on March 12, 2010 at the Italian Picnic Grounds. This prestigious award is given to Amador County's unsung heroes, an inspiration of the late Margaret Dalton, Jackson Rancheria's Tribal Chairperson for over 25 years.   More >

Gold Rush approved by Sutter Creek City Council

A long-awaited vote Monday went in favor of the Gold Rush Ranch and Golf Resort planned for Sutter Creek.

After debate on whether project size should be cut from 1,330 houses, City Council members split, 4-1, with Councilman Murphy opposed, but still approved what is called a specific plan for the project with the 1,330-house figure intact.  More >

Like many small businesses, we don't take the time to stop and smell the roses. With a struggling economy and an uncertain future, our daily efforts are full-time endeavors to attain our goals, to maintain our status, and to retain our customers. It is difficult to find the time to reflect on our accomplishments and to reward ourselves with pride and satisfaction.
