Richard Escamilla

Supervisor Escamilla was born on November 18, 1941 in Jackson, California, making him a life-long resident of Jackson. Before becoming Supervisor, he was self-employed in the flooring/carpet business for 31 years. He is married and has three children.

Richard Forster

Supervisor Forster was born on July 31, 1960 in Laguna Beach, California. He has resided in Amador County since 1975. He graduated from Ione High School in 1978 and the University of California, Davis in 1982 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Managerial Economics. He is a commercial cattle rancher and is employed with the California Youth Authority. Supervisor Forster served on the Amador Water Agency Board of Directors for eight (8) years, the Ione Planning Commission, and numerous community organizations as an active member. Richard and his wife, Laurie, were married in Ione in 1982 and have two (2) daughters, Lindsey and Tyler.

Theodore F Novelli

Supervisor Novelli was born on July 2, 1949 in San Francisco California. He has been visiting Amador County since 1962 and moved to District III in 1988. Supervisor Novelli graduated from Riordan High School in 1967 then, joined the Marine Corp. and served in Vietnam from 1968-1969. Supervisor Novelli served as a former Alameda County Deputy Sheriff and Tracy Police Officer. He was a member of the Amador County Road Crew for the past twelve years and sat on the Amador Water Agency Board of Directors as the District III representative. He and his wife Jennifer have two daughters, Francesca and Giana.

Louis Boitano

Supervisor Boitano was born on June 6,1953 in Jackson, California. He is a lifelong and fourth generation resident of Amador County. He graduated from Amador High School in 1972 and attended Sacramento City College, majoring in Industrial Technology. He served on the Sutter Creek City Council from 1987-1990 and on the Sutter Creek Fire Protection District from 1990-1993. He is married and has two children.

Brian Oneto

Supervisor Oneto is a fourth generation Amador County resident with family roots in Amador County dating back to the gold rush era. He was born on May 20, 1964 in Jackson. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1982 and attended Lassen College in Susanville. He has been a self-employed businessman his entire life, primarily in the agricultural sector: cattle ranching and forest management. Brian and his wife, Janine, reside in Drytown and have four children.

Jim Rooney was born on May 26, 1958 in Sacramento, California. He has resided in Amador County since 1988 after moving from Sloughhouse, California. He graduated from Jesuit High School in 1976 and California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in 1981 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Management. He was formerly a small business owner as a produce farmer and real estate appraiser. Jim served as Chairman of the Ione Parks and Recreation Commission and is active in numerous community organizations. Jim is married to Mariya with sons, Seamus and Peter. Jim Rooney was elected to the following term: 2003-2006.

Sheldon Johnson was born on December 11. 1939 in Bemidji, Minnesota and has lived in Amador County since 1944. Prior to being elected County Clerk-Recorder, he worked in the title insurance industry for 19 1/2 years. Sheldon has two children and four grandchildren.

Todd Riebe has lived in Amador County since 1995. He received a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in American Politics from the University of Southern California. Mr. Riebe earned his J.D. from the McGeorge School of Law. Prior to his legal career, he taught World and U.S. History and Geography at Horace Mann Junior High School in south-central Los Angeles. He also served as the athletic director, overseeing a complete sports and weekend activities program. Prior to being elected District Attorney, he was the Chief Staff Attorney for the Jackson Office of John A. Barker & Associates. He is married and has three children.

Sheriff Ryan is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (186th Session), the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development School (LEEDS), and the Peace Officer's Standards and Training Command College (Class 25).

Sheriff Ryan was raised in Amador County, and graduated from local schools here. His law enforcement career began after graduation from college when he was selected as the Chief Investigator for the Amador County District Attorney's Office. After nearly 6 years in this position he was hired as a Special Agent for the California Department of Justice where he spent the next 25 years. Sheriff Ryan rose through the ranks to become Chief of the state Attorney General's California Bureau of Investigation where he was responsible for statewide investigations and an $11 million dollar budget. After 7 years in this capacity,

Michael Ryan

Michael Ryan was born on January 18,1956 in Sacramento, California. He has lived in Amador County all of his life. He graduated in 1979 from the University of California at Davis, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Prior to being elected Treasurer-Tax Collector, he worked as the Chief Title Officer for Western Land Title Company from 1978-1991. Michael is married and has two sons. He is a member of the California Association of County Treasurers and Tax Collectors as well as a member of the National Association of County Treasurers and Finance Officers.
